Objective of the Project: DBC started its response to Rohingya Refugees since July 2017 and continues its support. Through this project, DBC arranged educational activities for the children of Rohingya communities living in the camps under Ukhiya Upazila. Distribution of reading materials, feeding, health services and classroom education are the main activities of the project.

Emergency Learning Care Center for Rohingya Children

Objective of the Project: Our Program currently supports 450 students from disadvantaged communities by providing access to quality education and essential services at no cost. The program addresses both academic learning and overall child well-being to ensure holistic development.
Students receive free classroom education delivered by trained teachers in a safe and inclusive learning environment. To remove barriers to learning, we provide teaching and educational materials, including textbooks, notebooks, and stationery. Each student also receives a school uniform, promoting dignity, equality, and regular attendance.
To support healthy growth and better learning outcomes, the program includes a nutritious tiffin, helping improve concentration and physical well-being. In addition, sports and recreational materials are provided to encourage physical activity, teamwork, and positive social development.
By combining education, nutrition, and child-focused support, the program helps children stay in school, learn effectively, and build a strong foundation for a better future.

Scholarship for Higher Education of Meritorious Students

Project Location: Dhaka division
Objective of the Project: Many children of poor and marginal families are being deprived of higher education due to their poverty. DBC extended its support for the young star who secured higher scores in their classes. Though it is not much but supporting for enrolling in higher education who have no affordability to bear the cost of education.
The amount of scholarships are distributed in different categories:
Primary level: BDT 500 per month
Secondary and higher secondary level: BDT 2000 per month
College and University level: BDT 5000 per month.
